Ted Robinson - Lead on-air commentator

Ted Robinson joins Tennis Channel's French Open team as an on-air commentator. A two-time Emmy Award winning broadcaster, Robinson completed his fourth season of play-by-play with the New York Mets and 22nd season of Major League Baseball. Anchoring NBC's coverage of Wimbledon and the French Open since 2000, he has also broadcast the last 20 U.S. Open Tennis Championships for USA Network partnering with John McEnroe.

Robinson has covered the last five Olympic Games: 1998 in Nagano for CBS, the 2000 Sydney Games (including play-by-play for NBC's coverage of the United States Gold Medal Baseball team), the 2002 Salt Lake City Games, the 2004 Games in Athens, and called short track speed skating for NBC in the 2006 Winter Games.

Before joining the Mets, Robinson broadcast nine years of San Francisco Giants baseball following a six-year tour with the Minnesota Twins and three seasons with the Oakland Athletics. Robinson has served as play-by-play announcer for NBC's Baseball Game of the Week, Major League Baseball playoffs for ESPN Radio, NCAA Basketball Championships for CBS Sports and Westwood One Radio, NFL football for Westwood One, was the voice of the NBA's Golden State Warriors for two years, and has covered intercollegiate sports (including Big East Conference, Stanford University, and the University of Notre Dame football and basketball, as well as University of Minnesota and University of California-Berkeley basketball) throughout his entire career.

Robinson serves as a Director on the National Board for the First Candle/SIDS Alliance. He and his wife Mary, proud graduates of the University of Notre Dame, reside in Atherton. The family tradition continues with their daughter, Annie, a 2005 ND graduate, and their son, Patrick, in his junior year.
