I do enjoy watching the classics and smaller events, when the slams are not playing. But can anything be done to improve slam coverage? A few years ago USA network was broadcasting the US Open and I don't remember if the showed the other slams. They did a much better job of showing more uncut matches.
On DirecTV, you have multiple channels, live feeds from 5 courts. Actually, during the French I missed them all if they aired. They started at 5AM and when I woke and looked 8-9 AM, I saw nothing. My DVR could not record them either. They had no listing info, the recordings were empty. Week 1 Wimbledon, the same; week two nothing, race car instead. If these are really broadcasting live, could you reply these later in the day and/or make them so a DVR can record them?
Please do something going forward. Fix this for the US Open!?!
Thanks, JD

I completely agree with JD. I don't care what kind of agreements the various TV networks need to get into, but during a slam, we should be able to watch that event all day. Live in the morning, selected repeats in the afternoon for the overseas slams, fine. And there should also be extended recap shows that show a bit of every worthy match that day. But there is no excuse for showing 2004 Davis Cup matches during a slam, for Pete's sake.

Also, are there any plans to rebroadcast the men's final? My husband was at work and missed it. I looked all over the net, but all there was was a 3.5GB download from the Wimbledon site, which my satellite ISP doesn't allow. I looked on ESPN Classic, as they often rebroadcast matches as "instant classics" (the Roddick-El Aynaoui match at the Australian a few years ago comes to mind) but nope... and this Wimbledon men's final definitely qualifies as an instant classic!

I can only conclude that all this lack of coverage/ rebroadcasting is due to money and turf considerations, which is ridiculous. Good coverage would only benefit the game, and everyone gains from more viewers. How I miss Wimbledon on HBO! No commercials... sigh...
