Karma to Roger Federer this time in French open

Roger Federer was beaten in French Open 2008 by 6-1 6-3 6-0 this time. It look like he is humililiation. But for a long time, he humiliate other players in grand slam final at  least 3 times before. He beat Marcos Baghdatis 5-7, 7-5,6-0, 6-2 in 2006 Australia open, and he beat Raael Nadal 6-0,7-6,6-7,6-3 in 2006 Wimbledon  also He beat Lleyton Hewitt 6-0,7-6,6-0 in 2004 US open. This time Karma to him in French open.

It has nothing to do with Karma and everything with Federer contracting mononucleosis, also called "mono" before the 2008 Australian Open. Mono is a common viral illness that leaves the inflicted feeling tired and weak for months. Federer will always carry the virus and it may become active from time to time. When you compare the 2008 Federer with the 2007 Federer, this year Federer is noticeably thinner. Against any other player (other than R Nadal) Federer even in his weaker state would have prevailed. Factoring in the pace-slowing conditions of Roland Garros' terre battue and R Nadal's increased strength, Federer will unlikely ever win at the French unless Nadal fails to reach the finals .
