    Horrible coverage of French Open

The coverage of the French Open in the evenings, the French Open Tonight, is horrible.  TC has not shown one match in it's entirety, nor in a timely manner.  TC shows 4 games (if we are lucky), goes to commercial or so insipid interview, then comes back to the match with the match further along.  I subscribe to TC to watch tennis matches, not to hear about the Seine river cruises.  I am NOT looking forward to coverage of the remaining slam because I want to watch tennis and won't get in from TC.

I totally agree.  I watched the Rome and Hamburg tournaments and I wish we could get that kind of coverage for the majors.  I like to watch a match from the warm-up and coin toss to the lens signature and march to the locker room.  I don't understand why there has to be so much bouncing around.  I may know there are other matches going on and like to be updated, but for pity's sake, pick one and stay there.  I like to get engaged and I can't if they keep cutting here and there.

The evening coverage, I understand, is an entertaining review for those who had the opportunity to watch the matches when they played live or haven't the time to watch a full match, but my feeling is most of us like to see whole uninterrupted matches.

NBC coverage today of the semis just sucked.  It was delayed, shortened, and they only aired the Nadal/Djokovic match not the Federer/Monfils match.  While I was glad to see Rafa play I would have loved to see Roger playing the newcomer on his home turf.  Judging by the score it must have been exciting.  I bet we'll see very little of it on the French Open tonight coverage.

Thank you! I'm happy to see I'm not the only one to be bothered by the bouncing around. It used to be you could see the warmup but these days we are lucky if we get a whole match. Are we suffering from MTV-generation executives with short attention spans being charge of the programming? They must think people can't handle watching a whole set without jumping to a segment about restaurants in Paris; let alone a whole match. If I wanted to learn about French cuisine I tune into the Food Channel. The quality of the coverage in the US is appalling and unfortunately the TC is failing to fill in the void created by the networks.
