BTW Jason HAS the BEST voice of all the commentators and he knows when to stop talking. I would call him more of a leader when it comes to the European tennis commentating.Darren Cahill ***** 5 Stars PERFECTAustralian Commentator, Darren is the best ALWAYS positive, I have heard Doug try to bait him into negative commentary and he never bites.. He enjoys tennis and it is obvious through his very professional descriptions of the sport. Sometimes Darren is on the sidelines reporting. Darren has true passion for the tennis. He cares about the future of the sport.
To see Darren click here Doug Adler ** 2 Stars AWFULDoug NO doubt knows tennis. That's not his problem. His issues lie within the constant personal attacks against various players when commentating. HE HATES Roger Federer and will pounce whenever Fed is having a bad game. HE HATES Safin and I can go on and on about how he rarely has ANYTHING positive to say when players are not at their best... Its depressing to hear this, I think Doug is very smart but the most tennis fans review him as a bitter jerk. DOUG only likes you if you play PERFECT tennis.... very unfortunate.American Commentators Patrick McEnroe ***** 5 Stars PERFECTExtremely professional, nothing like his brother the best of all American tennis commentators. Tennis would be lost without Patrick compared to his fellow commentators. His often mangled and unkept hair is a whole different topic.To see Pat click here Mary Joe Fernandez *** 3 Stars GoodMary Joe gets the job done often positive but can get kinda flat and homey looking. Not anywhere as negative as the others, usually she is better at breaking down the game because of her success as a player.See Mary Joe here Mary Carrillo **** 4 Starts GoodMary is Hard Core, she tells it like it is, but with respect. She says the truths that most commentators wont. Not degrading the player but bluntly identifying the reasons they struggle. I think Serena Williams motivation for winning her last Aussie open few years back came because she was tired of the relentless mouth of Mary Carrillo and others talking about how out of shape and unfit she was.Click here to see Carrillo John McEnroe *** 3 Stars AverageJohn is way too busy flapping his gums about his own tennis career. Surprisingly not as negatived as others, but he never stops talking, worships Nadal too much, and continually wanting to play every player he's commentating about. This man just cant focus on anything other than himself playing or challenging every other tennis player currently on tour. Its annoying and predictable.Jonnie MC Martina Navratilova NO STARS The worst of them all is Martina Navratilova, she talks more about herself and when she played than anyone else (even more than John MC), and she sometimes curses like a sailor on National TV, I'm surprised she hasn't already been released. I didn't think there was anyone who displays more bitterness than Doug Adler, but Martina takes all the cakes. New career please.. One where she can speak inappropriately as she wishes.

See Martina Cliff Drysdale ** 2 stars AverageSorry Cliff but its time to retire. Cliff who can be charming with his voice and distinguished with his looks needs to hang up his mic. If i hear one more life story about a player, when the player is playing I'm gonna band tennis. This man NEVER SHUTS UP. Stepping on his co-commentators all the time telling some over the top exaggerated childhood story for the 100th time. PLEASE retire Cliffy.... We love you though.... See Ciffy here Jimmy Arias ** 2 stars Average I like Jimmy, he favors certain players. That's obvious. but overall i think is average because of his lack of commentating experience. He's another who comes across like he would rather put the Mic down and go out and play. It seems as if he doesn't take commentating as serious as others. For him its kinda something to do while not playing on champions tour.
