Um, I hope that the tc folks read these once in a while and see that WP isn't exactly winning any fans, neither did their coverage at the French Open. I am not officially a fan of espn2 and nbc, and losing interest in subsribing to the tc. It's too bad since it's such a good idea, have a channel that actually shows tennis.
Sweetpea, why dont you get a life and stop complaining. Everyone at my club along with myself feel the exact opposite. How can you honestly say the french open coverage was poor? They showed 7-9 hours of live tennis up until the finals in HD followed by a 3 hour highlight show! Your saying the network doesnt show tennis when that's all they show! Remember, this is a five year old network that has all four slams, and live tournaments every week! How many majors does the 20 year old golf channel have? None! Not winning over fans? That's strange cause i just read an article about how their popularity is at an all time high. And as for wimbledon, they can only show 4 hours of tennis after espn is off the air. Would you rather see one whole match each day (3-4 hours) which would be completely boring or highlights of the top 4- 5 matches along with other highlights and analysis from one of the greatest female tennis players of all time? Gee. Let me think. But go ahead and cancel. Then you wont see: any of the slams starting next year, top wta and atp tounaments every week, davis cup, fed cup, champions series, us open series, world team tennis, classics, hopman cup etc.. Basically all existing tennis. What else is there? And for those who complai about not enough doubles, during the us open series in july and august if i remember correctly tc shows doubles matches every weekend during that whole stretch. With out tc, we would only see parts of 4 tournaments a year. With: more than 60. Go figure.
