    Davenport Quits, Yet Again!!!

Davenport withdrew from the semi at the Bauch and Lomb tourny today.  She said, "I feel terrible that I can't take the court today."  In 16 years on tour, I don't believe I have ever pulled out die to sickness."  ARE YOU KIDDING ME?  IS SHE ON DRUGS?

WHICH IS WORSE? NOT STARTING A MATCH DUE TO A STOMACH ACHE, OR QUITTING A MATCH MID TRHOUGH?

She quit at Indian Wells.  She quit at Amelia Island.  She may not have ever pulled out due to "sickness" before, but she and Jankovic probably lead the tour in "retirements" during matches.  This has become an epidemic on the WTA tour.  Even the lame announcers who are usually so reserved and liberal, have made references about the gamesmanship displayed by Davenport, Jankovic, Henin, Petrova, and the William sisters.  They all have to be 1-6 in pullouts, retirements, and withdraws.  Oh, I have a tummy ache, I can't go on.  Oh, my nail broke, I can't continue.  Oh, I have a headache, I can't play on.

Let's please start calling these players what they really are: PRIMMADONNA DEBUTANTES.  THE WTA TOUR IS A LAUGHING STOCK.

Hey Davenpuke, why did you bother to come back if you're going to quit 50% of your matches?  Do us all a favor:  stay retired, we paid enough money to see you quit.

You did nothing but complain and bad mouth Miami a few years ago, with such words as, "this place is too hot, too humid, and too windy, I hate it here, and I get injured here."  Why she wasn't booed out of the place the following year is beyond me.

At Indian Wells this year, the wind was 10 times worse than Miami, and way hotter than Miami, yet she said nothing.  Davenpuke, Please stay in your fake, phoney, plastic, debutant state of California, you deserve each other.

Please retire.  I detest you,  I loathe you.  I wish upon you a career ending injury, and it would make my day if were to happen in Miami.  You slump your shoulders, you walk like an ape, your attitude is the worst I've ever seen, you quit too often, and yu have no guts, heart, or dignity.  So, please, save any of that fat ugly butchy face you still have left, and walk away.  Better yet, run away.

I'd lke to see you give birth to a baby and even try to walk afterwards more less compete at a high level of tennis.  Are you insane?  Davenport comes back and nearly slices her ranking in half and you're complaining?  Saying you wish an injury upon her?  It's so easy to see in the stands or better yet, at home and watch and complain on television to how someone isn't competing to the best of their ability.  Tennis is an all year sport, it's going to take Davenport a few more matches before she's near form but geez, give it time.  If you spent more time accomplishing something on your own than living your life vicariously through the acheiments of others, I'm sure you wouldn't be nearly disappointed in her pullouts.  Get a life!

Spare us the "poooor davenport " trash. She's a lazy clown. Let's not forget (tho' I doubt the ignorant, PMS'ing tennisfanatic187 ever knew) that Margaret Court Smith - the greatest female tennis player ever - had 2 kids during her nine year career during which she won a true grand slam and notched more wins/slam wins than any women - including martina n. in her 30 years. Losing in the french singles finals while she was pregnant, she won the open, wimbledon and french the next year Davenport has no character.

AGAIN!! Re: Davenport Quits, Yet Again!!!

She dogs it again. Drops out of singles - but she's up for the casual doubles.
