Where are Indian Wells and the Sony Ericsson?

How does Fox Sportsnet oubid the tennis channel for the two biggest non-slam tournaments of the year? If you live in the Philadelphia area, Comcast does not even offer Fox Sportsnet no matter what tier you pay for. CSN has been picking up pits and pieces of the Fox coverage, but for the most part, if you live in this area you are being blacked out of both these tournaments. Tennis channel needs to step. What exactly am I paying for for the three weeks these 2 tournaments are taking place? I guess I can watch a 40 year old Todd Martin playing 40 y/o Michael Pernfors. I'd much rather watch that than the upcoming Nadal/Tsonga match, right?

I can't imagine the TC letting these 2 tournament slip away from them to Fox, I just can't figure out the TC not only do they not televise these tournaments we are talking about but we never hear the reason why they are not? I believe Murphy Jensen has taken over the TC as that is what is mostly on and live tennis coverage of ATP and WTA has gone by the wayside.

Totally agree with this post. I live in Chicagoland area and have Comcast (including sport package which delivers Tennis Channel). Not only these 2 tournaments nowhere to be found on Comcast but also Dubai was misses! Every time I look for a current ATP event I get

40- year old Todd Martin (not that anything wrong with him!), but I'm looking for ATP matches! If this continues I don't see a point of subscribing to Tennis Channel.

Is anyone besides me having trouble accessing the live scoring from ATP.com, WTA.com, or even the Pac life website?  It's been stuck at 5-4 in the first set of the Djokovic match for hours now.  I've tried two different computers.  Not only is it not on TV, I can't even keep up with the scores on the computer!  Super Angry

I totally agree.  I live in Texas and we are also getting short changed on the coverage.  Some days we only get 2 hours or coverage and last Sunday when Andy Roddick and Roger Federer played there was NO COVERAGE at all.  I bought the atptennistv channel to watch the matches live.  It's a real disappointment.  It hurts the Tennis Channel and the Pacific Life Open.  My friends and I were shocked!

To make matters worse FSN chose to show baseball on Sat. afternoon and only broadcast the men's semifnals from 2 to 6 am. I don't know how the bidding process works but basically most people in CA were not able to see the semifinals. And people wonder why tennis is losing popularity in the US. It was disappointing that FSN didn't show the matches properly, that TC couldn't get the coverage, and that Pac. Life Open didn't get assurances from the highest bidder that the matches will be broadcast.

I look every day for coverage of the major events on TTC ,but no luck. How can they call themselves the tennis channel when they don't cover TENNIS??? Even CBS Sportsline (who used to show live scores no longer show UP TO DATE. They are sometimes minutes or hours behind. The only place I have found UP TO THE MINUTE SCORES is on USTA.COM.

Maybe someone is reading these message boards after all. Tennis Channel's just announced some coverage of the early round night matches at Miami. So at least we'll get to see some of the tournament.

Maybe someone is trying to force us into buying the webcast.  It really isin't worth paying for a channel when all I get is reruns of year old footage of Leighton Hewitt playing aussie rules football.  By the wat TC. I'm really looking foward to the airing of No Strings featuring the upstart Spanish phenom CARLOS MOYA?!!!!  Please someone give me a reason to keep the network!

FOX sports network is supposed to be carrying the Sony Ericsson all day today and instead there's college baseball on all day....???!?!? Where in the heck is the tournament?  I, too, just subscribed to the TTC and now there are two channels that should be carrying ATP tennis and neither are. What a frustration?!?!?

Re: Where are Indian Wells and the Sony Ericsson?

Well guys i am disappointed like you all....I have the TTC, got it when they first came on. Their guide for daily shows is absurd. I saw many of these 'shows' 2 years ago. STOP already. Where are new shows....Spend money send Murphy Jenson out more in the world for more shows on TENNIS PLAYERS.....Show more LIVE tennis. On the Sony Ericsson site it says TTC tennis Sat. night 9-11pm Sat. , all HAPPY i go to TTC and there is NO TENNIS.. But I woke up Sunday 30th am @ 6am and saw the match FED vs Gail from Miami! All I would like is a CORRECT guide and to show TENNNIS on the Tennis Channel.. Ask Donald Trump or someone, the tennis stars to invest in the Tennis Channel, if money is short. Cause I sure do not want to have to put my tennis watching in the hands of FSN or the Main street newworks

**Sad** :(:(.... I will now go and see the FSN guide and see how they have scr@wed tennis and the tennis fans
    Cheers, *kimberly*

I think it's tragic not beeing able to watch the Nadal/Tsonga match or any other match that involves the top ten ATP and WTA players. Does anyone know how to contact the Tennis channel?  If  FSN is the culprit and TC lets their members pay for practically zilch coverage by caving in to FOX then there's some dirty dancing going on.  At any rate FOX stinks and TC begins to smell bad.

I am done looking and clicking the remote.  It's time to retrieve the money that was wasted by beeing jerked around between ESPN2,CBS, all the Fox's and least but not last "The Tennis Channel".  The last time it was Cable that I fired, sent packing or whatever wording is prefered for constant cost increases and emty promisses.  I lived with analog and rabit ears just fine for at least four years and saved a lot of good money thrown after bad.
