wow, after so many commentators on TTC who repeat the same things in each match, day after day like a script pre-written with not enough imagination to fill the airspace with original content, jimmy arias arrives and SPEAKS!
Nothing bugs me more than a commentator who just follows the flow of the score and then tells us whats happening based on the external appearance. I longed for a TC commentator capable of identifying underlying patterns, with an awareness of player lulls & streaks, and astute technical insight.
We have found that in Jimmy Arias. Jimmy didnt bowl me over with his crafty strategic insight back when he played! But he sure has learned his stuff. Welcome to Tennis Channel, Mr. Arias, and I hope we'll see...and hear...much more from you in the future.
